Located on thirty beautiful acres a few miles north of Collierville, Shady Creek features both indoor and outdoor riding facilities, school horses, private and semi-private lessons with experienced instructors, showing opportunities, and summer day camps for various ages.
SHADY CREEK 2011 SUMMER CAMPS Download: Camp Brochure Riding Agreement This summer is the 15th year for our camp program! We are having 2 camps
5 – 7 year old camp June 13 - 17 $170/week This camp runs from 9:00am– 12:00pm and they ride 1x per day, plus learn all about grooming and tacking the ponies, and various other age-appropriate horsemanship skills. Safety around horses and barns is emphasized. Observation day is the last day of camp (please inquire for more details).
7 – 14 year old camp June 20 – 24 $320/week This camp runs from 9:00am– 3:00pm and the campers ride 2x per day, plus have the full experience of caring for a horse/pony and learning about all the different aspects of horsemanship. Safety around horses and barns is emphasized. Camp show is 1:00pm on Friday of each week for parents, friends, etc. All camps are open to first-time/beginner riders through intermediate riders (may be cantering and/or jumping small jumps). Each rider is started at their current level and brought along as far as possible in one week through group and individual riding instruction by highly trained instructor(s).
