{"id":85,"date":"2014-11-12T16:50:19","date_gmt":"2014-11-12T21:50:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.shadycreekfarm.com\/wordpress\/?page_id=85"},"modified":"2020-03-24T23:15:54","modified_gmt":"2020-03-25T04:15:54","slug":"trainers-staff","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.shadycreekfarm.com\/wordpress\/about-us\/trainers-staff\/","title":{"rendered":"Trainers &#038; Staff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><b>Julie Lindow, Head Trainer <\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Julie, a native of Germantown who always had a love for all animals, began riding horses at the age of 8 years old.<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> As a young adult, she discovered that she also had a love for teaching and sharing the joy of riding and developing a partnership with a horse with others.\u00a0 Julie went on to ea<\/span>rn degrees in Equestrian Science and Business from William Woods University, a school well-known for it&#8217;s excellent equine program. Over the years, she has enjoyed competing successfully as both an amateur and then a professional, taking students to numerous horse shows across the country and here in the Memphis area. She has an earned reputation for being a patient teacher who makes learning fun and loves helping each rider grow to their potential.<\/p>\n<p>Now as a mother of two young children, Julie is keeping her focus closer to home and enjoys teaching riders of all ages and experience levels at Shady Creek Farm &#8211; everything from how and why we groom, how to safely mount and dismount, how to understand the horses&#8217; body language, what is dressage, how to jump a single jump or ride a complex jumper course, how being around horses can help us learn more about ourselves than we ever realized, and how at the end of the day it&#8217;s important to relax and just enjoy a trail ride = total horsemanship.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><strong><b>Shirley E Netter, Trainer<\/b><\/strong> <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Shirley rode with Julie as a child through teen years, and now we are pleased to have her back working with us as a trainer. Shirley is very patient and strives to build confidence in her students. Shirley is a avid animal lover and also helps to take excellent care of all the horses at Shady Creek.
